Blame it on the rain

I may be the last one to blog about this but it looks like Ashlee Simpson got some 'splaining ta do. During her second performance on Saturday Night Live, the band started to play the song "Autobiography" but her voice could be heard singing "Pieces of Me" instead.

She was holding her microphone at her waist at the time. Simpson looked momentarily confused as the band plowed ahead with the song and the vocal was quickly silenced.

A flustered Simpson made some exaggerated hopping dance moves, then walked off the stage.

If you missed the poor girl's breakdown you can watch it here. Ahh schadenfreude, the cornerstone of a blogger's repertoire.

Song of the Day - "I Can't Stand It" by The Velvet Underground

You really can't go wrong with the Velvet Underground.

I had a great idea for a costume this year but I gave it away to Rannie. Curses! It was ingenious yet quite simple to make. If he wears it to Bowl-a-ween with the other bloggers heaven knows I can't wear it as well.

Foiled by the good twin yet again.

Song of the Day: "Dreams" by Fleetwood Mac

Lately I've been raiding my dad's CD collection. The Eagles, CCR, of course The Beatles; I'm proud to say he has an excellent ear for rock. Dreams could possibly be the sexiest sounding break up song ever written. You could owe it to that seductive jazzy rhythm or smooth sounding guitar. Definitely one of my favourite songs by The Mac.

Sure I still have Interpol, Muse and the like playing on my iTunes, but good music is good music no matter what time it was written in. I'm tempted to make a mix CD of my favourite songs from that era.

I swear there's nothing wrong with me

Why why why? Why must GTA: San Andreas come out on PS2 first? I don't have a PS2. I won't be getting a PS2 any time soon. This of course means I won't be playing this any time soon. Now how am I supposed to get my fix of carjacking and drive by shooting? Umm ... legaly of course.

At least Evil Genius can tide me over for the time being. Any game based on playing a Bond Villian bent on taking over the world gets a gold star from me. It comes complete with colourful henchmen and exotic torture devices you can use on those pesky secret agents that try to infiltate your base. If they had sharks with frickin' laser beams attached to their heads I'd be in heaven.

But right now I'm working my way through Knights of the Old Republic. Mmm Jedi goodness all rapped up in a Star Wars D20 combat system. It makes the geek in me drool with delight. Currently my character is following the goody-two-shoes path of the Light Side, but man am I itching to create a dark Sith Lord. Enough talk, lets kick some wookie arse!

Excuse me while I practice my evil gloating laugh. Muwahahaha!
