I'm going to the wedding in shorts
What is the difference between shopping and buying stuff?
When you go out to buy a pair of dress pants and you come back with a pair of dress pants, you are buying stuff.
When you go out to buy a pair of dress pants and you come back with a winter coat, you are shopping.
It is a really nice jacket.

Putt putt putt
When a fully grown man rides a 2 foot tall mini motorcycle, do they realize how silly the look? Hunched over a glorified powerwheels toy; zipping down the sidewalk with their knees bent up to their shoulders. Why anyone would think that look is hot simply boggles the mind.
The only people who should be riding those kind of bikes should wear white face paint, round foam red noses and go by the stage name of Bozo or Krusty.

File it under G for Genius!
Instead of business cards, I should give out pre-filled rolodex cards. By passing these babies out I'll be saving you the trouble of writing my info down on your own cards. On top of that they're kind of neat ... a retro throwback if you will.
Hmm, yes the mind simply swims with these inspirational gems ...

A Girl, A Guy, and Pumpkin Pie
I went to the Lisa Loeb concert with Rannie yesterday at the El Mocambo. We managed to grab some choice first row seats right in front of her microphone. At that distance the already intimate venue felt even more like a personal performance just for little old me.
During her first couple of songs Rannie snapped photo after photo of her as any good minded photojunkie would. I noticed Lisa looking in his direction every now and then and I wondered if she could see him beyond the stage lights.
When she finished up her fourth song it was obvious she could.
"Thank you" she said as we applauded, "thank you very much. And you" she pointed at Rannie "Don't you think you've taken enough photos?"
The crowd burst into laughter and Lisa replied with a friendly smile. "I mean all of them are going to look exactly the same. Well they won't all look the same if I started to take of my clothes," Which invoked a few whistles from the crowd "but if that happens you won't be taking any photos at all."
The crowed continued to laugh, while Rannie sat there smiling at the attention. "Seriously, they're all going to look the same from where you're sitting. That chin tucked in, trying to look over the guitar pose" She proceeded to demonstrate, "like this, the one that makes me look like I've eaten too much Pumpkin Pie. And that's the one that's going to end up on the website right?" My eyes lit up and Rannie and I exchanged a look "Right?"
"And then you" she said as she motioned to me "You're going to start telling all his friends 'wow it looks like Lisa Loeb has been eating too many Pumpkin Pies lately' and he's going say 'yeah it looks that way' and it's going to go back and forth and eventually spread all over the internet!" I couldn't stop laughing and the crowd enjoyed it as well.
"Lisa Loeb eats too many Pumpkin Pies" she proclaimed to the crowd "Mmm wouldn't Pumpkin Pie be good right now?"
Rannie didn't touch his camera for the rest of the night which is a shame since there is no trace of the Pumpkin Pie look. Still it boggles the mind how she still managed to pick out a photoblogger from the crowd. Cute, talented, and web savvy; that girl is a dream.

More photos!
The rest of our photos from Kristine's visit are available in the gallery. You can take a peek at what happens when you let two Californian girls loose in Toronto. Emily's band The Gris Gris had a gig in town while Kris was here so they met up and tomfoolery ensued.
On top of that you can experience the Scenic Caves on a cold and foggy day. The weather may not have co-operated that day, but the company made up more then enough for it.

CSI:WHO
While she was here I introduced Kristine to the wonder that is CSI. The original Las Vegas one of course; Miami registers only lukewarm on my scale and we didn't run across an episode of NY just yet. For some crazy reason it was always on when we had nothing else to do but watch TV. After a few brief episodes (in which insects were featured as forensic aids) she was hooked.
Thanks to the CSI family of shows, whenever I hear The Who I think "It's crime fighting time!"

Krisitne in Toronto
Half the photos from Kristine's latest trip to Toronto are up in the gallery. You can find pictures from The EX and Medieval Times. Good times, good medieval times.
The next set are from our visit to Centre Island and then from our game of Cranium at Jon and Lala's place. When you're having fun there are no real losers, but damn Kris and I make a great Cranium team.
More to come later ...

E & G Music Factory!
Congratulations to Emma & Graig on getting engaged! I couldn't be happier for you crazy kids and I wish you only the best ... even if your cat still hates me.
But man the story of your rings simply takes the cake. I love it!

Wizard People, Dear Reader
Wizard People, Dear Reader is an unauthorized re-envisioning of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, by Brad Neely. To experience it, viewers need to get a copy of the first Harry Potter movie ... and watch it with the sound off, replacing Neely's narration with the original soundtrack. [LINK]
Now all I have to do is get myself a copy of the The Sorcerer's Stone, some friends to laugh with and we've got ourselves an evening! Who want's to join me?

Hide the carrots
Rabbit rabbit y'all.
Here's to another month of good fortune and fun. It is only the first day but from the look of things, September is going to be the Month of Good Times.
How's that for a positive attitude at 7:00 AM in the morning?
